The Sr. Manager, TAX and VAT, is responsible for ensuring full compliance with VAT and TAX regulations while optimizing TAX strategies to reduce liabilities and support the organization’s financial goals. This role involves overseeing TAX filings, audits, and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely and effective adherence to statutory requirements.

Job description

Prepare and submit accurate and timely VAT and TAX returns in compliance with local laws
Manage all activities related to VAT and TAX assessments, audits, and appeals at various levels.
Develop and implement TAX planning strategies to minimize liabilities and improve compliance efficiency.
Monitor and ensure proper withholding TAX calculation and submission.
Oversee the reconciliation of TAX and VAT accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Provide guidance on the impact of TAX legislation changes and recommend necessary business adjustments.
Lead the preparation of responses to TAX authorities during inspections and audits.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong regulatory relationships.
Assist in obtaining necessary regulatory approvals for foreign remittances and other transactions.
Train and guide internal teams to enhance awareness and compliance with VAT and TAX requirements.
