Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and driven Frontend Engineer with strong knowledge of React.js, Next.js, and JavaScript, along with a basic understanding of Node.js and REST APIs. We are looking for someone who goes beyond simply implementing assigned UI tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong ownership mindset, curiosity to explore and research solutions, and the ability to take a feature from understanding the requirement through development and successful delivery.
You should be comfortable working closely with Backend Engineers, Designers, Engineering Leads, Engineering Managers, and other cross-functional teams to build high-quality product experiences. We value engineers who are curious, proactive, comfortable solving unfamiliar problems, and interested in using modern tools and AI to improve their development workflow.
Objectives of this Role
● Take ownership of assigned features and drive them from requirement understanding to development, testing, and production delivery.
● Build scalable, responsive, and high-quality user interfaces using React.js and Next.js.
● Understand the product and business requirements behind a feature, not just the technical implementation.
● Collaborate closely with Backend Engineers, Designers, Engineering Leads, and Engineering Managers to deliver complete solutions.
● Identify edge cases, dependencies, and potential issues early and proactively work towards solutions.
● Research and explore unfamiliar technologies, libraries, and approaches when required.
● Focus on solving real user and business problems with a strong product mindset.
● Continuously improve code quality, performance, user experience, and development practices.
● Use modern AI-assisted development tools effectively while maintaining strong engineering judgment and code ownership.
Responsibilities
● Develop and implement responsive, reusable, and maintainable user interface components using React.js and Next.js.
● Take end-to-end ownership of frontend features from requirement discussion to successful production delivery.
● Collaborate with Backend Engineers for API integration, data handling, and resolving technical dependencies.
● Work closely with Designers to accurately implement UI/UX designs and ensure a high-quality user experience.
● Participate in requirement discussions and proactively ask questions to understand the complete feature and expected outcomes.
● Translate business and product requirements into clean and scalable technical solutions.
● Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured JavaScript and React code.
● Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and interface-related issues.
● Identify and handle edge cases to ensure a reliable user experience.
● Monitor and improve frontend performance, responsiveness, and overall application quality.
● Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
● Work with REST APIs and backend services to build complete product features.
● Use Node.js for basic backend integrations, utilities, or supporting development tasks where required.
● Research new technologies and approaches to solve complex or unfamiliar problems.
● Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate progress, challenges, and technical requirements clearly.
● Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools for coding, debugging, research, and problem-solving.
● Validate AI-generated suggestions and maintain responsibility for code quality, correctness, and implementation decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
● 1–2 years of experience in Frontend Development using React.js.
● Strong understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ concepts.
● Good hands-on experience with React.js and its core concepts.
● Experience with Next.js and modern frontend development practices.
● Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
● Experience working with REST APIs and backend integrations.
● Basic to good understanding of Node.js.
● Understanding of state management concepts and tools such as Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar.
● Strong understanding of reusable component architecture and frontend application structure.
● Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and package managers such as Vite, Webpack, npm, or similar tools.
● Experience with browser debugging tools and troubleshooting frontend issues.
● Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
● Understanding of frontend performance optimization and responsive design principles.
● Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or similar tools is a plus.
● Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
AI-Assisted Development
We are looking for engineers who are comfortable using modern AI tools as part of their development workflow.
Experience with tools such as the following will be an advantage:

● GitHub Copilot
● ChatGPT
● Other AI-assisted coding and development tools
The candidate should be able to use AI effectively for:

● Experience in POS, Retail, E-commerce, Logistics, Banking, FinTech, or SaaS products will be an added advantage.
