About the Team
We are a team of technical experts that assists the mobile industry in is generational and digital transformation. This involves understanding the industry drivers, collaborating with; operators, vendors and other actors to provide technical recommendations to specify for wider industry adoption. Our goal is to increase interoperability to accelerate scale adoption of technology principles and practices, thus providing a sustainable economic roadmap for mobile technology.
Our current challenges include networks generational change to 5G, virtualization of network functions and the impacts of digital transitions to IT&T infrastructure and software models.
About the Role
You will support the GSMA technical directors managing the GSMA working groups where GSMA members are working on evolutions of the GSMA industry specifications. This will mainly be the groups progressing the operators' messaging services and the exposure of operator network and cloud capabilities that can be used to improve the service delivery of 3rd party applications.
You will need to manage the groups' membership, work with the technical directors and the members leading the groups involved to ensure a smooth running the meetings of the groups. For physical meetings, you will also have to engage with the meeting hosts to ensure that all needs for a successful meeting are addressed. You will support in capturing and tracking the outcomes of those meetings and in updating the documents that the groups control with the changes agreed.
You will need to develop a basic understanding of the quite technical topics discussed and of the processes followed and the timelines associated to those.
Key Responsibilities
About You
You will be keen to learn about the way in which telecom services offered by multiple operators are developed and brought to market and want to contribute to that.
Relevant experience within the Telecoms, IT&T or Application Service Provider sector appreciated.
You will have a proven track record of interacting with internal and external stakeholders, often involving a broad mix of individuals and companies with diverse skill sets and cultural backgrounds. You have the ability to prioritise and work autonomously, including working from office and home.
You will be smart, collaborative, relationship and outcome focused, demonstrate attention to detail and understanding of need for high quality documentation.
Capabilities:
Highly collaborative individual who can effectively work with global teams, facilitating communication and cooperation.
Being able to quickly develop a basic understanding of new technical concepts
Ability to capture the essence of a discussion
Fluent in writing English
Experienced working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint beyond basic usage.
