About the Team
The media partnership function is responsible for outreach, developing and managing media, content creator and association partnerships and related programmes for the MWC, 4YFN and M360 series of events.
This team is a key part of the PR and External Comms team at the GSMA. We are responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the GSMA's reputation through strategic communication and relationship-building.
About the Role
This is a new role which means the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow and shape it. Located in London, you will support and report to our Media Partnership Manager in Hong Kong and work closely with our PR team in London and help achieve successful media partnership programmes and outcomes. You will do this by coordinating and facilitating the administrative development of media partnerships in the entire partnership life cycle for the GSMA events including:
1. MWC Barcelona
2. 4YFN
3. MWC Shanghai
4. MWC Kigali
5. MWC Doha
6. M360 Series including M360 ASEAN, M360 LATAM and M360 Eurasia
Using proven administrations management and communication skills, you will support research of target media outlets and outreach, handle incoming enquiries and manage media partnerships from creating prospects through to agreements execution. And you will maintain internal documents relevant to the partnership programme status, lead the fulfilment and implementation of partnership activities through GSMA channels and departments including Marketing, Operations, PR, IT, Legal, Registration and more.
A key part of success of the role is to work with media partners on asset delivery and execution of marketing materials and liaise with them to obtain pertinent information for the marketing activities. From there, you will provide summary and reports on the results of the partnership programme.
Finally, you will also provide general assistance to support the team. This will include but not limit to preparing documents or presentations, managing logistics, contributing to improving the overall partnership programme and process efficiency.
About You
You will have notable knowledge and understanding of events, partnerships and business-to-business marketing. With your outstanding verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to work cross-functionally and effectively with multiple departments within a global organisation.
You will show your can-do attitude, be highly organised and flexible. You will manage multiple projects at once, understanding the importance of meeting key deadlines and milestones, with a strong attention to detail and proven your ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
The role requires collaborative skills with experience in developing and maintaining relationships both internally and externally. You will be innovative, positive and open-minded. And as an effective team player, you will also be able to work independently and proactively as part of a global team within a matrix structure.
It would be an advantage to have business fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese, as well as experience is using Asana.
