About the Team
GSMA LATAM MarComms is a small, high‑performing team embedded with Policy and Technology. We operate in three languages across diverse markets and fast‑moving news cycles, partnering daily with members, regulators, media and event organisers. This role strengthens day‑to‑day capacity without losing quality, speed or regional nuance.
About the Role
You will coordinate the planning and delivery of advocacy marketing activities that support Policy and Technology priorities, ensuring high‑quality, multilingual execution across channels.
Success looks like friction‑free events and campaigns, on‑brand materials in Portuguese, Spanish and English
Well‑prepared stakeholders, tight logistics and timely reporting. Operating in local time zones, you will translate briefs into plans and timelines, align owners and deadlines, manage vendors and budgets, route materials through brand and legal, keep our website and social calendars aligned, and maintain clean CRM data that evidences impact.
The role partners closely with the LATAM media relations and content lead and global counterparts to keep messages locally resonant and globally consistent.
Measures of success include shorter turnaround times on cross‑functional requests, on‑time asset delivery, clean stakeholder records and regular KPI snapshots that inform optimisation.
About You
You are an organised, proactive coordinator who turns complexity into clear plans and follows through. You communicate crisply across cultures and languages, keep multiple workstreams moving and know when to escalate. You are comfortable with fast, sometimes unpredictable cycles and can align many voices into one coherent narrative.
This role offers hands-on ownership across events, production, and multilingual content—sharpening project management, vendor negotiation, CRM/CMS, and analytics skills at pace.
You’ll work closely with Policy, Technology, press, and global teams, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, experimenting with new digital formats, and leveraging GSMA learning resources to expand your toolkit and advance your career.
Essential skills and experience:
Languages: Native Spanish and strong professional English. Portuguese is a plus.
Experience: demonstrable experience in marketing/communications, events or campaign operations in Latin America.
Execution: Project management, vendor/AV coordination, content trafficking, CMS updates, social scheduling and paid media, CRM hygiene and basic budgeting/Purchase Order/Scope of Work handling.
Data: Able to track KPIs (reach, engagement, media hits, stakeholder mix, delivery SLAs) and turn them into concise insights.
Tools: Microsoft 365/SharePoint, Excel/Sheets, WordPress, Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Canva/Adobe Suite and basic video/subtitles edition.
