About the Team
The Technology Marketing Team communicates the benefits and value of the latest 5G Era mobile technologies to the global mobile industry and key vertical industry markets through a range of digital and physical communications media. The team comprises experts in specific fields of technology marketing, ranging from mobile networks to IoT, Fintech to artificial intelligence, with the common goal of advancing mobile connectivity for the benefit of GSMA members and the wider ecosystem.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for producing and implementing marketing plans for Fintech and Mobile Identity. This includes marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, content creation, and digital and collaborative marketing. The role requires working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the GSMA Brand & Content, PR and Technology teams, GSMA Ltd, leading mobile industry companies and customer/vertical influencers. Experience of industry partnerships, events, database-focused marketing activity, and social and email marketing campaigns is especially important. Occasional international travel will be required.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Marketing Manager to support our marketing initiatives for Fintech and Mobile Identity. Plan and deliver the marketing strategy & content activity for selected mobile technologies advancing fintech, commerce and mobile identity, including:
• Production of an agreed marketing strategy and detailed delivery plan.
• Delivery of marketing activities associated with the technology areas, including internal and external messaging, blog creation, social posts and performance reporting.
• Manage associated external collaborative groups, including operators, ecosystem stakeholders and sponsors.
• Work with the project team to support the delivery of the annual project objectives within the overall Technology plan through the marketing plan and associated budget.
Plan and deliver event marketing communications activity:
• Develop and deliver online & physical events plan with support from the wider marketing team and external partners/sponsors e.g webinars, workshops, seminars and summits.
• Plan and deliver major event marketing communications activity for GSMA events including MWC Barcelona, MWC Kigali, regional M360 events and external events.
• Work with marketing, GSMA Ltd teams and sponsors to achieve marketing & PR objectives for major events.
This role will report to the Technology Marketing Director.
About You
• A results-focused senior marketing manager able to work comfortably at a strategic level while supporting internal and external team members and senior industry partners.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills when collaborating with senior partners and colleagues, consistently upholding a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines and pay attention to detail.
• Prefers to deliver marketing projects rather than manage a direct team of reports.
• Contribute fully in all reporting activities required by the organisation in a timely fashion, as required, including the reporting schedule and the budget reporting schedule.
• You will have demonstrable experience in delivering business events, including exhibitions and webinars.
• Marketing experience of creating and executing digital projects from start to finish (WordPress, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Photoshop or Canva) and coordinating and managing physical/hybrid events (Technology events)
• You will contribute fully to all reporting activities required by the organisation in a timely fashion, as required, including the reporting schedule and the budget reporting schedule.
