Technology Marketing supports the Chief Technology Officer and their Technology Team to deliver against their objectives of technology advancement, ecosystem engagement and thought leadership in priority areas from Cybersecurity, 5G to quantum, key vertical industries including fintech and manufacturing, and GSMA Foundry.
Working within GSMA Mutual, this role provides the opportunity to influence and accelerate the growth of innovation in the mobile industry, working with strategic partners to communicate the latest trends and talking points. The Technology Marketing Team is team of nine marketing professional experts in specific fields of technology marketing with the common aim of further scaling the global mobile platform.

About The Role
The Senior Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for creating and implementing marketing initiatives in an annual marketing plan to engage with Security and Fraud audiences related to mobile technology, networks, and services.
The key objectives are to maintain or increase the protection of mobile operator technology, infrastructure, and customer identity, security, and privacy such that the industry’s reputation stays strong and mobile operators remain trusted partners in the ecosystem. This includes marketing strategy, requirements, positioning, messaging, and digital marketing. The role requires working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the GSMA Brand & Content, PR and Technology teams, GSMA Ltd, the GSMA Security Working Group (FASG), Social Media team, leading security companies and customer/vertical security influencers. You will maintain an understanding of the specific initiatives and campaigns to determine how to position them within the overall security narrative and messaging.
Experience in industry partnerships, events, database-focused marketing activity, website, and social and email marketing campaigns is important. Success will be measured by the global adoption of fraud prevention and security best practices, as well as the level of engagement with the target security audiences.
Key responsibilities:
• The delivery of marketing activities associated with the technology areas, including internal and external messaging and performance and budget reporting.
• Lead marketing activity for priority Fraud and Security markets, including the GSMA Fraud & Security Group, T-SAC GSMA Telecommunication Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) Programme and the Mobile Cybersecurity Database.
• Production of an agreed marketing strategy, audience identification and detailed delivery plan. Delivery of marketing activities associated with the market, including internal and external messaging, and to work closely with the programme’s PR director.
• Plan and deliver major event marketing communications activity for MWC Barcelona and focused security events. Work with brand, event marketing, GSMA Ltd teams and sponsors to achieve marketing & PR objectives for MWC/major events.
About You
• You will be a results-focused marketing manager able to work comfortably at a strategic level while supporting internal and external team members and senior industry partners.
• You will have notable experience in technology and/or mobile industry marketing.
• You will have demonstrable experience in delivering business events, including webinars and exhibitions.
• You will deliver marketing projects with cross-functional teams.
• You will manage a small team of up to two marketing managers and oversee their performance.
• You will have the ability to work flexibly, using your own initiative and drive, and manage competing priorities.
• You will have experience in marketing digital projects, utilising both content management systems (such as WordPress) and database marketing platforms like Salesforce, and email platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Occasional international travel will be required.
