About the Team
The GSMA Capacity Building team offers training courses to telecoms policymakers and regulators around the world. Since its inception in 2013, it has become a leading provider of specialist telecoms regulatory training.
The programme’s mission is to help policymakers and regulators keep pace with the latest industry developments through training courses that highlight examples of regulatory best practice. Created by in-house experts and external specialists, the programme’s training courses are updated regularly to ensure they reflect the latest industry developments and current regulatory landscape.
To allow policymakers and regulators maximum flexibility in how they learn, courses are provided both face-to-face and online. The programme’s face-to-face courses are delivered either directly to regulators and policymakers or through a range of partners. Our online courses are offered year-round via our site at GSMAtraining.com and allow students to study at their own pace from anywhere in the world.

About the Role
The Content Manager reports to the Senior Director in the Capacity Building team. They are responsible for working on the content of our training courses and will help the Senior Director shape the future strategy for the Capacity Building programme.
They will collaborate with subject matter experts from across the GSMA to develop new courses and update existing courses to ensure they reflect the latest industry developments. This will include undertaking desk-based research, writing and editing scripts for our courses, creating PowerPoint presentations for our trainers to use in a classroom environment, and converting these assets into online training courses using our cloud-based eLearning content creation tool.
The role will also involve keeping our website and Learning Management System running smoothly. This includes flagging any issues to our external platform suppliers and internal web team and then managing them through to a successful resolution.
The Capacity Building team is small and must work with many other teams across the GSMA to deliver effective results, so you will need to be comfortable working within a matrix environment with other team members who may not be tied to your programme’s KPIs. This is a very hands-on role, so the successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to manage their own time effectively to achieve high-quality deliverables.
Overall, this role offers a unique opportunity to learn about a variety of topics across the mobile ecosystem and to work with an exceptionally diverse and talented set of colleagues across the globe.
