Job Description:
As a Data Analyst in Asset Finance, you will utilize your analytical expertise to support the creation and optimization of processes, operational dashboards, business systems, and monitoring tools. You will play a key role in the development and refinement of this new and exciting line of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the business: You will learn the business to develop a deep understanding of end-to-end processes. This will inform any actions you take, as you'll have awareness of unintended consequences and second-order impacts.
- Write queries: You will use SQL extensively to create processes, giving teams exactly the data they need and transforming the results of their work for digestion by other operating teams. Additionally, you will use this skill to set up discrepancy and error flagging.
- Build dashboards: You'll build both operational dashboards (to be used by operating teams for case-level deep dives) and analytical dashboards, to inform management decisions and guide coaching needed for employees and contractors.
- Automation: Via the use of SQL and any other coding proficiencies you may have, you'll be removing redundant or unnecessary steps from workflows and automating wherever possible.
- Ad-hoc analysis: Provide analytical support for ad-hoc requests related to collections operations, including risk assessments, portfolio reviews, and process improvements.
- Leadership by example: By building end-to-end knowledge and taking ownership of the success of the business, you will serve as an example to others throughout the business.
Required Qualifications:
- High-level proficiency in SQL.
- Extensive experience with dashboarding tools (Tableau, LookerStudio, PowerBI).
- Expertise in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Working knowledge of mathematics, especially algebra (be able to solve real-world problems with math).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of work experience as an analyst who uses SQL every day.
- Working knowledge of R, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- University degree in a technical field (Comp Sci, Math, Stats, Engineering, etc.).
