Do you want to build a career that is truly worthwhile? The World Bank Group is one of the largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries; a unique global partnership of five institutions dedicated to ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. With 189 member countries and more than 120 offices worldwide, we work with public and private sector partners, investing in groundbreaking projects and using data, research, and technology to develop solutions to the most urgent global challenges. For more information, visit www.worldbank.org. Objective: Support the operationalization of FCV analytical products and LLM-enabled tools across the FCV Department. In particular, the role will involve working directly with GTFS1, FCV Country Coordinators, TTLs, and staff involved in corporate review processes. The ETC will help design, test, deploy, and scale LLM-based workflows that strengthen FCV sensitivity and responsiveness across World Bank operations, country engagement products, and corporate review processes as well as the use of LLMs for knowledge packages and other analytics. A core focus of the role will also be in supporting implementation of the SPF-funded ASPIRE initiative, including the development, testing, and operational uptake of LLM-enabled tools such as the FCV Project Screening App and related operational support products. Scope of work: • Corporate reviews and FCV analytical support. Support requests from across the FCV Group for LLM-enabled analytical workflows and document reviews. This includes supporting reviews of CPFs, FCV Envelope submissions, RRAs, core ASAs, and other corporate and operational products through tailored LLM workflows, reusable prompt packages, guidance materials, evidence briefs, and quality assurance processes. • ASPIRE Initiative and FCV Operationalization. Support implementation of the SPF-funded ASPIRE initiative as a core responsibility of the position. Working closely with the project TTL, FCV Country Coordinators, TTLs, in-country FCV experts, and operational teams, identify, design, stress test, refine, and operationalize LLM-enabled tools that strengthen FCV sensitivity and responsiveness across World Bank operations. Support piloting, user engagement, quality assurance, documentation, and delivery of key project outputs, including the FCV Project Screening App and related operational support tools. • FCV Project Screening App. Support ongoing development, testing, refinement, and operationalization of the FCV Project Screening App as a core product under ASPIRE and as a wider FCV operational support tool. Improve multi-step prompt workflows; expand and maintain the knowledge base; pilot use cases with TTLs, FCV Country Coordinators, and operational teams; gather and incorporate user feedback; and support migration, documentation, governance, and integration into World Bank systems where appropriate. • Operational LLM workflows for GTFS2 and GTFS1. Support GTFS2 and GTFS1 staff in designing and implementing LLM-enabled workflows that help operational teams apply FCV analysis in practice. Work directly with FCV Country Coordinators, FCV Group team members, and operational staff to develop tools, prompts, guidance materials, analytical products, and user workflows that translate FCV evidence into operational decision-making. • Portfolio-level FCV risk analysis. Design and support LLM-enabled analytical tools that connect evolving FCV risks to country portfolios and operational pipelines, including portfolio-level screening, risk mapping, and the generation of structured summaries for country teams and FCV Country Coordinators. This should include functionality to help match FCV risks to country portfolios without treating the country portfolio risk scanner as a standalone product line. • LLM integration across FCV analytical platforms. Support integration and maintenance of LLM-enabled tools across FCV analytical platforms and operational workflows, including the FCV Risk Portal, Risk Analytics Bot, mAI skills, and related systems. Help translate working prototypes into reusable tools, documentable workflows, and scalable products that can be adopted across the FCV Group. • Knowledge packages, mAI skills, and K360 integration. Curate global, regional, and country knowledge packages and collections in collaboration with relevant FCV teams for RRAs and in the World Bank K360 knowledge environment. Develop, package, and maintain reusable mAI skills and LLM workflows for CPF review, operational risk briefs, FCV project screening, country risk analysis, and general FCV querying. • Trialing new advancements. Support the FCV Group in identifying, testing, and responsibly applying new LLM capabilities where they can strengthen core FCV-related tasks, while maintaining appropriate safeguards around quality, grounding, confidentiality, and human review.
