Background/Organizational Context The World Bank Group (WBG) is one of the largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries. With 189 member countries and more than 120 offices worldwide, WBG works with public and private sector partners to develop solutions to urgent global development challenges. This internship is offered under the ONE World Bank Group Corporate Internship Program – WBG Pioneers, a unified corporate framework designed to provide a consistent and structured internship experience across the WBG. Department Context The intern will be based in the Department for Outcomes, housed within the Office of the Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer. The Department for Outcomes strengthens outcome orientation across the WBG by supporting approaches to development impact measurement, coordinating outcome targets, and monitoring outcomes across cross-cutting themes such as jobs, climate, youth, private capital mobilization, and gender. The department also convenes internal and external stakeholders on outcome metrics and capacity building, and serves as secretariat to external advisory groups including the Jobs Council. Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of a designated Program Manager, the intern will support the following: A. Outcomes Measurement Capacity Building Support This support will cover PIUneer, a joint MDB initiative to strengthen the capability of results professions in Project Implementation Units. • Support planning and delivery of capacity-building activities by maintaining calendars and trackers and supporting participant and speaker coordination. • Draft and format workshop and learning materials, including slides, exercises, and handouts, ensuring clarity and consistency. • Organize and maintain repositories of materials, including session presentations, reference lists, and examples of good practice. • Draft short session summaries and communications for internal audiences, including announcements, invitations, and recap notes. • Support simple feedback collection for learning events and synthesize feedback into short notes to inform improvements. • Helping coordinate partner sessions and curate knowledge shared across the network. B. Jobs Delivery and Jobs Council Secretariat Support • Support jobs-related analysis by compiling, cleaning, and organizing relevant information and data from WBG operational and corporate sources. • Summarize key findings and trends in short, clear notes for internal use. • Develop slide-ready visuals such as tables, charts, and simple summaries for leadership-facing materials. • Support Jobs Council and related engagements by helping prepare meeting materials, including draft agendas, background notes, participant lists, research papers, and concise slide packs. •Track follow-up actions, deliverables, and timelines related to Jobs Council engagements. C. Knowledge Products, Visibility, and Thought Leadership Support • Support development of outward- and inward-facing communications and knowledge products, including: • Drafting or editing short blogs, briefs, scripts, or summaries linked to outcomes measurement, long-term outcomes, and results measurement approaches (as requested). • Supporting the preparation of roundtable or workshop outputs (e.g., summary notes, synthesis slides, participant takeaways). • Assisting with basic formatting and quality assurance to ensure materials are polished and aligned with WBG style.
