Background
UNDP Morocco is seeking a Procurement and Travel Assistant to provide excellent support in procurement and travel, working in close collaborations with the Programme, Operations, and Projects of UNDP, as well as other United Nations agencies.
Under the direct supervision of the Procurement Associate, and the overall guidance and supervision provided by the Operations Coordinator, the Procurement and Travel Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of office, agency and project support services. Primarily, the incumbent will act as the Procurement and Travel Assistant to various projects, agencies and initiatives. He/she will perform his/her functions in close collaboration with the other members of the Procurement Unit.
The Procurement and Travel Assistant provides support to office operations performing a variety of standard procurement and travel processes ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. The Procurement and Travel Assistant promotes a client, quality and results-oriented approach. She/he works in close collaboration with UNDP Operations and Programme staff and other UN agencies staff to exchange information and ensure consistent and quality service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Procurement and Travel Assistant will undertake the following tasks:

The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
The Procurement and Travel Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Procurement Associate and the overall guidance of the Operations Coordinator. The Procurement and Travel Assistant is responsible for supervising the procurement and travel services to ensure that the participating Agencies’ needs are fully answered with high quality services.

Ability to manage events, including venue identification, accommodation, logistics, catering, transportation, and cash disbursements, etc
Knowledge of travel policy and procedures; ability to interpret travel policy, the Staff Rules, administrative circulars and financial regulations and rules on travel related matters.
Knowledge of the ERP Travel and Expense Module; ability to provide help desk support to UNDP and other UN agencies.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and processes related to UN travel documents; ability to facilitate the insurance of UN travel documents for UNDP and UN agencies; processing of visas, and ensure oversight and endorsement.
Ability to process and approve Travel Requests, Travel Claims and Expense Report; knowledge ofrelevant policy and procedures.
Knowledge of policy and procedures on T&E cash advance reconciliation; ability to link T&E Cash Advance transactions with transactions in the General Ledger including case analysis for clearances for staff separating from the organization.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
A University Degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Management, Economics or any related field will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
