About the Role
In this role, you'll play a key role in the success of our farmers by ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive. You'll work closely with the Logistics Associate to guarantee our customers receive their preferred agricultural inputs – seeds, fertilizers, tools, and more – exactly when they need them.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Responsibilities:
- Agro dealer Cohort Coverage
- Responsible for weekly visits to all agro-dealers in your cohort for stock level checks, for training, to resolve escalations, and conduct physical health checks of the shops
- Perform stock audits for all stocked agro-dealers in your cohort weekly and submit audit reports
- Manage your cohort proactively, and handle or raise issues effectively. Constantly be on top of any emerging issues that may impact agro-dealer performance & farmer experience
- Agro dealer insights, feedback, and quality assurance.
- Agro dealer Referral Activations
- Ensure agro-dealers are supported and trained on the set target (5 farmers/agro dealer weekly), understand incentives program/referral process with the value propositions like availability of quality inputs, low sign-up deposit, and stable pricing of inputs to farmers.
- Ensure high-quality referrals results by adhering to training guidelines as well as identify process gaps and recommend improvement in procedures.
- Agro dealer Recruitment
- Scout, recruit and train new agro-dealers to meet minimum cohort numbers.
- Replace deactivated agro dealers due to various reasons and have farmers re-assigned to the new agro-dealers while reducing the distance farmers have to travel to the nearest agro-dealer.
- Agro dealer & Farmers' Satisfaction
- Responsible for on-ground logistics support for Apollo field activities including distribution channel relationship management to include stocking & technical support to agro-dealers and farmers.
- Act as on-ground connector for escalations resolution of agro dealer and farmers issues and provide insights on channel development and overall processes improvements.
- Improving brand visibility via the channel.
- Agro dealer Stock Audits
- Responsible for weekly agro dealer stock spot checks and submit at the agro dealer shop including duly signed stock take form signed in the presence of the agro dealer owner.
- Report any variance against expected stocks at the agro dealer shop.
- Ensure Apollo stocks at the agro dealer shop are stored correctly and input quality assurance is guaranteed at all times.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in Distribution /channel management
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment-an added advantage
- A related University Degree qualification from an accredited institution

- You are analytical, computer literate, proactive, and team player
- Should be a self-starter, someone who takes initiative
- Should be proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Email
- Strong work ethic – will be responsible for Specific areas
- Integrity –You will bear personal responsibility for the area
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Should have at least 3 able and willing Guarantors.
